GENESIS: Natural History Gap Theory

Science has been teaching for years, "Life" began in the water.
And Genesis 1:20 says "And God said let the WATERS bring forth.."
Science has been teaching for years, life probably began around
deep sea geysers or hot springs, in the total absence of sunlight.
Well, in Genesis, day3=plants come to existance and day4=sunlight.
No need for photosynthesis! e.g., the venus flytrap.

Genesis 2 doesn't say Adam is the first man...
Genesis 2 says "And there was no man, TO TILL THE GROUND
which implies farming. Incidentally, farming begins in Mesopotamia,
at the same time (abt 10,000 yrs ago). Adam is the first farmer.
Before farming, man was nomadic. The introduction of agriculture
was probably THE GREATEST achievement man, has ever
accomplished, because man could settle down and build home,
and civilization... thanks to farming technology!

Never says God creates the first human and all animals in Gen. 2...
only says that "the beast of the field" (farm animals) are created.
A penguin, polar bear and kangaroo, are NOT beasts of the field.

God says "On thy belly thou shalt go...." to the snake...
and until this day, scientists keep turning up snake fossils with legs.
God performed some "genetic modification" of snake DNA.
To this day, not one snake roams with legs anymore.

Repeatedly, in Genesis 1, it states how God created them
"after his kind... after their kind... after its kind".
That's not related to "reproduction"
That's related to genetic modification on the DNA blueprint.
Just as God re-engineered the snake to be without legs...
well, God created Hadrosaurs, the duckbill dinosaur...
and "after its kind", we've got a duckbill mallard duck.

HOW DID GOD CREATE?
Well, DNA is a blueprint for building a living creature.
Scientists often say "the behavior is programmed into the
genes". Also, since we're dealing with "blueprints and
programming" let us consider engineering and computers...
every blueprint and program, needs an engineer and
designer. And, is it ironic that computers only understand
010001010100100101010010010100100101001010
and humans must use a "programming language" to interpret
commands to the central processor?
Incidentally, genetic codes are working in the same manner,
ATCGTACGTCGAGAGGATCAGCTGACGAGCT...
genetic codes. It is GOD programming genetic tissue.
That is how he created, or designed every creature.
God was engineering DNA blueprints.

The moving creature... in Genesis 1:20, is NOT created
after its kind. Notice that! Never is the moving creature
created "after its kind." Nope... and that's explaining why
Alligators and crocodiles are still around after 200 million years
in their original state. Why haven't they evolved and changed?
Because God never created them "after their kind".
They're the same, as they were 200 million years ago...
alligators were part of the class called "moving creature".
National Geographic did a special on this subject called
"The Shape of Life".. marvelling at how in early life history,
the sponge came into existance... it is indeed an animal, but
it cannot "move". The documentary covered all the amazing
evolutions thereafter, following the living sponge...
Well, God achieved a GREAT FEAT, by programming genetic
tissue, to form a creature that can move about on its own limbs.

On Cosmos w/Carl Sagan, and in Kingfisher Illustrated
Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs... they date the beginnings of the
earth at between 12-15 billion years ago... beginning far out
in space, and the sun was no where around the earth.
In Kingfisher, a graphic shows a dustball of gas, debris and
matter... over time, around 4 billion years ago, science
speculates this "dustball of gas" began to condense into a
sphere which became our planet earth.
Does not Genesis say itself "And God created heaven and
earth... and the earth was WITHOUT FORM and void...
aye yes... and the sun was no where around it, as Sagan
insisted in Cosmos. Ironically, Day One = Earth created.
Day Four = Sun is created.

Does "day" mean 24 hours? Hebrew word "yom".
Not necessarily. The Hebrew word being used by Moses,
can literally mean "an indefinate period of time".
That's what Darwin's rival Professor Louis Agassiz proposed,
being a Harvard University Professor of Natural History...
highly esteemed scientist, the man responsible for theorizing
and discovering what we now call "The Ice Age".
Agassiz, in difference to Darwin, had seen the SAME evidence
in fossils that Charles Darwin had... and concluded in opposition,
it was "epochs of creation."
Aye yes, "yom" or "epochs of creation".

The chronology in Genesis 1 is unmistakably in sync with the
same chronology that science has established:
1) Moving creatures ... 3.5 bya - 65 mya
2) Whales................... 55 mya
3) Cattle...................... ? mya
4) Man........................ 4 mya until present day...
as common sense would have it... the same time frame that
science has established in Natural History... likewise, Moses
records those creations in Genesis 1.

Genesis 1 records that God creates man...
and commands "the green herb for meat".
Anthropologists have uncovered amazing numbers of
early man fossils... their teeth is not suited for eating meat.
Their teeth is suited for VEGETARIAN diet.
Source: Time Life "Early Man".

Funk and Wagnalls Encyclopedia pointed out that
Cro-Magnon man 44,000-10,000 years ago, were
"powerfully built men, standing six foot tall on average".
These humans are recorded in Genesis 6...
"And there were giants in those days...
mighty men, men of renown, MEN OF OLD."

Who was Mrs. Cain? A neolithic woman living in
the region of Mesopotamia. It never says Adam was the
first human... it says "There was no man TO TILL the ground".
There were none to farm. Before farming was acquired, man
was nomadic... wandering place to place, what science calls
properly "Hunter/Gatherers"... nomads would wander from
place to place, wherever the best food supply could be found.
Until farming, man could not settle down. With farming...
the first civilization was established in Mesopotamia...
taking man out of "the stone age".

And God created heaven and earth, and the earth was without
form and void.... what happens next?
God forms the earth, and makes the dry land appear.
Volcanos.. just as Geology has pointed out on more than one
occasion... at one time, Hawaii did not exist.
Through volcanos churning up lava, over time, "dry land" appears
and then plant life appears... and then birds and other creatures
will follow.

And God creates the firmament. No big thing?
Ask a meterologist about the ozone layer, the stratosphere,
and all the many layers to our atmosphere... the technical
sciences involved in its design. "water" in the firmament?
and what is "humidity". Humidity IS water in the air.

Science divides all human history into 2 classes:
1) The First Humans
2) The First Farmers
Genesis likewise describes 2 human creations:
1) Man... created in Gen 1:26
2) Adam... created in Gen 2
*The First Humans: Early Man
*The First Farmers: Adam

How did dinosaur footprints survive for millions of years
yet our footprints get washed away in the next rainstorm?
Genesis says: Gn:2:5: And every plant of the field before it was
in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: FOR THE
LORD GOD HAD NOT CAUSED IT TO RAIN UPON
THE EARTH, and there was not a man to till the ground.
Gn:2:6: But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered
the whole face of the ground. (KJV)
How is it that dinosaurs walked the open ground, and yet their
footprints, never got washed away by rain? Even ancient man's
footprints often remain until this day. But where are modern
footprints? They aren't preserved... because of rainfall.
