Idea lajien kehityksestä on jo aikas vanha idea, vuosikymmeniä vanhempi kuin Darwinin teoriat. Se on vanhempi keksintö kuin polkupyörä (onko polkupyörän toimintaperiaate täydellisesti selitetty -no pyörii se sittenkin ;-))
Yli 150 vuoden aikana kehitysoppi on kehittynyt paremmin perustelluksi ja paremmin selittäväksi. Vastaväitteet eivät ole muuttuneet, vaikka niiden perustelut ovat huomattavasti heikentyneet tieteen löytöjen valossa, esimerkkinä maapallon todistettu ikä.

kehitys on joiltain osin helposti ymmärrettävää, mutta suuria aukkoja siihen sisältyy..suurimpana ensimmäisen yksisoluisen synty...
Evoluutio on oppi biologisten olentojen kehittymisestä. Se ei ota kantaa elämän syntyyn, saati sitten maailmankaikkeuden syntyyn.
