"With the new-look 911 still shrouded in secrecy,
Porsche fans can satisfy their hunger for German
performance and power with this latest spy shot
of the Cayenne. It's the clearest look yet at
Porsche's top secret off-roader, photographed
while being put through its paces on a German
test track.
The rear-mounted spare wheel and four exhaust
pipes are clearly visible, and the latter
signifies it's the flagship turbocharged V8
delivering 450bhp. The standard model will also
be a V8, but offer 'only' 340bhp. Also visible
for the first time is a hinge midway down the
left D-pillar, showing that the rear door will
open from the opposite side. After making its
debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September,
the Cayenne will challenge the likes of BMW's X5
and the new Range Rover in a battle for supremacy
in the luxury off-road sector."
