"New legislation is set to introduce the
most radical anti-drink-driving laws
in Europe. Police will be empowered to
confiscate vehicles permanently from drivers
found to be under the influence of alcohol.
A new bill waiting for the prime minister's
signature before going on to a parliamentary
reading will set a limit of 0.5
parts per thousand of blood alcohol - the
equivalent of two large beers - as enough
to confiscate a car, motorcycle or tractor.
The same penalty will be applied to drivers
who cause an accident after drinking, or
escape from the scene of an accident,
whether they are sober or not, as well as
drivers who police consider to be under the
influence of narcotics. Bicycles and yachts
will be exempt from the proposed law.
Cases will be heard by the newly-introduced
24-hour courts and the confiscated
vehicles will be sold at auction with the
funds raised to be earmarked for the
Crime-Victim Support Fund.
In the event that the car is co-owned, the
driver will have to pay a fine equivalent to
his or her share of ownership, while in the
case of company cars, borrowed cars, or
vehicles bought on credit, the driver will
pay the full value of the car.

Vanhimmat
ja rattijuopolta "rikoksentekoväline" eli auto valtiolle. Odottakaa vain niin tämä viimeinen nuoren tappanut rattijuoppo saa vain sakon ja ehkä vähän ehonalaista. Sen jälkeen kun alkoi kansanedustajia ja muita herroja kärytä ratista niin tuomiot on pienentyneet koko ajan. Eivät uskalla säätää kovempia lakeja kun pelkäävät että joskus itse kärähtää..
niin sitten pitäisi jättää auto kotiin jos ottaa korkillisen yskänlääkettä!
