- 28 % uskoo teistiseen evoluutioon
- 37 % uskoo ateistiseen evoluutioon, myös jotkut muslimit
- 5 % muslimeista uskoo ateistiseen evoluutioon
-3 % tietää, että Charles Darwin kirjoitti Jumalharhan (The God Delusion)"
Mielestäni ateismi/evoluutio on tässä varsin vahvasti johdossa. Jo pelkästään 37% uskoo ateistiseen evoluutioon ja tuo 40% ihmisten ainutlaatuisuudesta ei oikeastaan kerro mielestäni yhtään mitään ainakaan uskonnollisuudesta. Vain naurettavat 17% uskoo ihmisrodun olevan alle 10 000 vuotta vanha.
Eipä mene vahvasti uskovaisilla/kressuilla.
....
The East has the largest proportion of people in the UK who believe that the theory of evolution removes any need for God (44%)
Wales has the largest proportion of theistic evolutionists (the belief that evolution is part of God’s plan - 38%).
Only 54% of people know that Charles Darwin wrote The Origin of Species (mielestäni aika hyvä tulos, miksi "only"?)
Kyselyn kohderyhmästä vielä:
ComRes interviewed 2,060 UK adults between 14 October and 21 November 2008. The data were weighted to be demographically representative of all UK adults. ComRes is a member of the British Polling Council and abides by its rules. Specific steps were taken in order to verify the results and findings were confirmed. This was done by running a verification of the question on overall opinions on the origins of human life with a separate random sample of 1,000 UK adults surveyed between 28 and 30 November 2008. These findings confirmed the robustness and accuracy of the poll.
