Tijuana: A Finnish woman found dead at her Tijuana home Sunday was killed in a dispute with her live-in boyfriend, a U.S. citizen named Robert Alan Frascarelli, the Baja California Attorney General’s Office said yesterday.
Frascarelli, 49, told investigators he used a hammer to repeatedly strike Kaija Helena Kauppinen Conway, 54, said Fermin Gomez, deputy attorney general. Frascarelli then strangled her, Gomez said. Conway was a U.S. permanent resident.
Frascarelli has a U.S. criminal record that includes at least three felony convictions for possession of marijuana. San Diego federal court records show that he was stopped twice at the border trying to smuggle marijuana into the United States.

Otay Mesa: A U.S. citizen who lives in Tijuana was arrested early yesterday after officers at the Otay Mesa Port of Entry found 20 packages of marijuana hidden inside two garden-hose reels he was carrying in a truck with landscaping tools.
The man drove into the border checkpoint about 4 a.m., and a drug-sniffing dog alerted to the Ford F-150 pickup, said Angelica De Cima, a spokeswoman for U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Officers found the marijuana, weighing 85 pounds and valued at $85,000, inside the reels in the back of the truck. The man was arrested and booked into County Jail.

todellinen tahti on paljon tiheämpää. lähes kaikkiin henkirikoksiin liittyy alkoholi. siinäkin on yksi syy
miksi päihdevalikoimaan pitäisi sallia miedompi aine. onhan meillä sata vaihtoehtoa rasvoissa mutta päihteissä vain yksi. ja ne rasvatkin ovat aikas haitallisia.
