440 engine specs:
440 engine block was oven baked then jet cleaned then magnafluxed and inspected before machining was performed.
Block was then bored and honed 0.60 over using torque plates to insure perfect cylinder bore roundness for optimum power and efficiency!
Block was then square decked for perfect head gasket seal.
Blocks main cap saddles were then line honed round for perfect crankshaft operation.
Factory 440 3.75 stroke forged steel crankshaft was magnafluxed then checked for straightness then shotpeened for added strength then resurfaced and polished rod and main journals to factory specifications.
Oem factory 440 forged steel connecting rods were hot tanked then magnafluxed, rods were then resized at big and small ends including the installation of new arp rod bolts as needed.
New clevite 77 rod, main and cam bearings installed
Pump gas friendly 0.60 over 10.33 to 1 speed pro forged/coated skirt "six pack" pistons and speed pro moly rings were installed.
New mopar performance main and head bolts installed.
Engines rotating assembly (crank,rods,pistons,balancer) fully computer balanced within 1/4 gram.
New melling hi volume oil pump and new 1/2 inch hemi oil pan pick up tube installed as well as mopar performance windage tray and 440 source 7 quart race pan installed.
Mopar performance "purple series" cam with 292 duration 509 lift installed with new lifters, (aprox power band 1500 to 6000 rpm) this is mopar performance's most tried and true street strip cam that has been a long time favorite in many 440 street/strip engines for several years!
New cloyes true roller double row timing chain and sprocket and oil pump drive gear installed.
Large port 440 "452" casting cylinder heads with 2.14/1.81 stainless valves. Heads were oven baked then magnafluxed then resurfaced 0.10 for perfect head gasket seal. Heads were then rebuilt with new valve guides, hard seats for unleaded gas,locks, retainers, springs, positive seals and finished off with a multi angle performance ("back cut") valve job and seat grind.
Reconditioned factory non adjustable 440 rocker arms and shafts were tumble cleaned, jet washed then inspected and installed with correct length 440 pushrods.
Engine was assembled with felpro performance gasket kit.
Intake manifold installed is a edelbrock performer aluminum dual plane intake. This manifold is without question one of the best performing dual plane street/strip manifold produced for the 440 motor without the loss of torque like some manifolds!
Reconditioned 440 harmonic balancer and new chrome timing cover installed.
Dyno output figures will vary due to many factors, using our latest dyno software program and engine outfitted with a 850 cfm carb, 2 inch diameter headers, free flowing exhaust system with turbo type free flowing mufflers etc.. this engine will produce 450 horse power and 500 pounds of torque yet still maintain the drivability/reliability you expect!
As you can see this is a well planned profesionaly built motor, and when installed correctly, tuned and serviced properly will give you many thousands of miles of enjoyment and service!

440 sylinteriryhmän oli uunissa leivottiin sitten jet puhdistetaan sitten magnafluxed ja tarkastettava ennen työstöä tehtiin.
Block sitten tylsää ja hiottu 0,60 yli avulla vääntömomentti levyjen vakuuttaa täydellinen sylinterien pyöreys optimaalisen tehon ja tehokkaasti!
