This Finn who thinks it is time to speak up for
the Americans as the most generous and possibly
the least appreciated people on all the earth.
Germany, Japan and, to a lesser extent, Britain
and Italy were lifted out of the debris of war by
the Americans who poured in billions of dollars
and Forgave other billions in debts.
None of these countries is today paying even the
interest on its remaining debts to the United
States. When France was in danger of collapsing in
1956, it was the Americans who propped it up, and
their reward was to be insulted and swindled on
the streets of Paris.
When earthquakes hit distant cities, it is the
United States that hurries in to help. This
spring, 59
American communities were flattened by tornadoes.
Nobody helped. The Marshall Plan and the
Truman Policy pumped billions of dollars into
discouraged countries. Now newspapers in those
Countries are writing about the decadent, war
mongering Americans.
I'd like to see just one of those countries that
is gloating over the erosion of the United States
dollar build its own airplane. Does any other
country in the world have a plane to equal the
Boeing Jumbo Jet, the Lockheed Tn-Star, or the
Douglas DCIO? If so, why don't they fly them? Why
do all the International lines except Russia fly
American Planes? Why does no other land on earth
even consider putting a man or woman on the moon?
You talk about Japanese technocracy, and you get
radios. You talk about German technocracy, and you
get automobiles. You talk about American
technocracy, and you find men on the moon - not
once, but several times - and safely home again.
You talk about scandals, and the Americans put
theirs right in the store window for everybody to
look at. Even their draft-dodgers are not pursued
and hounded. They are here on our streets.
When the railways of France, Germany and India
were breaking down through age, it was the
Americans who rebuilt them. When the Pennsylvania
Railroad and the New York Central went broke,
nobody loaned them an old caboose. Both are still
broke.
I can name you 5000 times when the Americans raced
to the help of other people in trouble. Can you
name me even one time when someone else raced to
the Americans in trouble? I don't think there was
outside help even during the San Francisco
earthquake or hurricane Andrew. I hope that you
small minded also do understand that even our BIG
Nokia is going to effected what has happen
Our friends have faced it alone, and I'm one
Finnish who is damned tired of hearing them get
kicked around. They will come out of this thing
with their flag high. And when they do, they are
entitled to thumb their nose at the lands that are
gloating over their present troubles. I hope
Finland is not one of those." It would not hurt
us to learn how to unite as a nation and for ones
support Americans instead continue for us "FINNS"
so typical US badmouthing

Most know how in the US is imported with big
companies money. Those buy the engineers and
scientifist.
Boeing and DC-jets are very old fashioned, mostly
based on 70´s technology and ideas but european
airbus is something really new. Even Concorde is
more modern and high tech product than B747.
Just good to know!
Olisit kai voinut kirjoittaa tekstisi Suomeksi,
mutta se nyt on sivuseikka. Kirjoitit kuinka
teidän puolia ei pidä kukaan. Ei pidä paikkaansa;
Nato on jo hyväksynyt 5. artiklan, ja hyväksyisi
varmaan mitä tahansa. Jokapuolella maailmaa
pidetään hiljaisia hetkiä teidän uhreille jne.
Kirjoitit Amerikkalaisten ylivertaisuudesta
alalla kuin alalla, sekä hyväntahtoisuudesta ja
jaloudesta, melkein kuin nyt sitten entisten
hyvien tekojen kantamana voitaisiin oikeutetusti
vähän "riehaantuakin".
Täytyisi kuitenkin muistaa, että nyt Bushin
aikana ollaan menty kohti eristäytymistä
muutenkin; kansainvälisille sopimuksille sanotaan
piupaut, koska se ei tulisi säilyttämään
Amerikkalaista elämäntapaa, puhumattakaan
kohutusta ohjuspuolustusjärjestelmästä. Siltikin
koko maailma on lähdössä mukaan teidän
ristiretkellenne terrorismia vastaan. Mitä vielä
haluat? Mikä oli edes kirjoituksesi
tarkoituksena? Minun mielestäni se kuulosti
pelkästään nationalistiselta pullistelulta, jota
kyllä on viime aikoina sieltäpäin tullut liiankin
kanssa. Terroriteko ei ole hyväksyttävä ratkaisu
missään tilanteessa, mutta väkivallankierteeseen
joutumisesta ei ole paluuta: Lähi-Itä hyvänä
esimerkkinä. Toivottavsti teko ei johda
nationalismin suhteettomaan kasvuun; kyseessä on
kuitenkin maailman suurin asemahti.
blaa blaa blaa! US has enough money and resourses
to hande it's own problems. If being rich means
being good, americans are Gods! But luckily they
aren't. If they do something good for me i'll
thank them. Windows isn't a thing to thank for. I
have to thank their big and too expensive
spaceprogram for microwavedinners! Thank you, you
great and beatiful nation! Ha!
Kateellinen ääliö! Hanki elämä!
Ünless something is BIG and NOISY and
OVERPOWERING you will not appreciate it. and,
basically Americans are interested in themselves
only. Unfortunately.
Did you know that you guys act in a pretty
arrogant manner. No wonder you are disliked.
Only a handful of people there can be called
intelligent enough to be aware of genuine
cultural heritage in a lareger sense (you killed
all the Red Indians to guarantee nothing of that
prevails) and classical cultivation. But. Good
that at least they exist.
See www.commondreams.org, that surely made me
convinced. No all the Americans are stupid
Kukas ne intiaanita oikeasti tappoi? Taisivat olla
ihan eurooppalaisia, jotka sinne ryykivät
intiaanien maille... Eurooppalaisten jälkeläisiä
ne jenkit on. Muista se. Kun haukut heitä, haukut
samalla myös itseäsi!
Yess. That is the point.
So, let us call ourselves for what we are, we
civilized so-called democratic cannibals!
In the response it is clearly said that not all
the Americans are stupid.
U.S. Pays Price for Arrogance
by Jonathan Power
STOCKHOLM -- As Americans stagger in shock over
the deadly terrorist attacks on New York and
Washington, many Europeans believe the United
States is the author of its own security woes.
I have talked to a range of ordinary Europeans
and they all say, in the face of the earnest
shoulder-to-shoulder rhetoric of their leaders,
that America got itself into this hole by its
arrogant disregard for what others think.
This is not what Americans want to hear at this
time of grief and anger. Yet they have to know
that their actions produce reactions. It is not
for nothing that anti-American resentment is on
the rise all over the world.
Such sentiment is especially strong in Europe,
where there is astonishment at the way the new
Bush administration has plowed ahead with its
unilateral agenda of national missile defense,
ignoring the rest of the world's opinions and
concerns.
Outside the United States, people have heard
Washington's mantra on the need to seize upon
this special post-Cold War moment to gain global
militarily superiority, and they don't like what
they hear.
But international perceptions of American
arrogance didn't begin with President George W.
Bush. Under Bill Clinton, America began the new
millennium as the most heavily militarized nation
on Earth. Despite the end of the Cold War,
Washington provocatively expanded NATO toward
Russia's borders and made only paltry efforts to
reduce superpower nuclear arsenals.
The Bush administration, with its determination
to abandon the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty, now
seems unconcerned that such steps will torpedo
international arms control agreements and provoke
a dangerous arms race. This American
administration has even hinted it would
understand if China increases its nuclear forces
and tests new nuclear weapons.
These are not the only holes the United States
has created for itself. After the 1967 Middle
East war, Washington never firmly spoke out
against Israel when it began its illegal policy
of building settlements on occupied land.
Amazingly, the policy continues, with what Arabs
now see as Washington's tacit approval. Such
perceptions have bred a sense of powerlessness
and hatred of America across wide swathes of the
Muslim world.
The arrogance of power has now produced its
inevitable reaction. America is threatened not by
nuclear missiles from rogue nations, but by small
groups of angry men whose frustration, if not
their methods, have struck a chord with ordinary
people around the world. To deal with these
emotions effectively, Americans had better find a
new way of looking at the world. After all, the
first law of holes is to stop digging.

Thank ya. Thank ya. Thank ya.
Myös minä olen täysin väsynyt kuuntelemaan
suomalaisten (omieni) aggressiivisia, mollaavia,
jotkut täysin typeriä ja suorastaan tyhmiä,
juttuja USA:ta vastaan. Miksi on USA niin suuri
ja mahtava valtio? Miettikää ensin, ennen kuin
avaatte suunne. Miettikää miksi itse asiassa
vihaatte USA:ta. Mikä on se todellinen syy?
Suomalaisten huono omatunto? Suomen maan pienuus?
Isänmaallisuuden puute? Mikä? Minä en sitä
ymmärrä. Maailma ei olisi ollenkaan niin vapaa
kuin se tällä hetkellöä on, ellei USA:lla olisi
sitä valtaa, mikä sillä on. Thank God for it! Ja
vielä lisätäkseni: USA on antanut 132 miljoonaa
dollaria Afganistanille vuosittain apuna.
Mieti ennen kuin puhut ja vihastut. Ja sitten kun
olet miettinyt ja vieläkin vihaat USA:ta, anna
meille muille se palvelus, että kerrot siitä
sivistyneesti. Kiitos.
the millions of innocent civilians americans have
murdered after WW II in various sovereign states
around the world to gain political and/or
economical benefit ?
Fuck USA
