I agree EU! Fuck you!

We in Finland are very cooperationable with European Union. Do you hate us 'cos of the finns can obey the rules which EU gives to all European countries.

In UK everything looks different. You always rebel against the directives. In Finland that's not possible, because we have always been a north, non-developed country before EU-membership.

Unfortunately finnish people rise more and more against EU. In this forum they're called "änkyrä". But I am an ultimate "pro EU". That's why you should believe me, not änkyräs.

Generalizing that all finns are this or that, just because YOUR experiences haven't been good...is smallminded and shallow. You are not the rest of the world, therefore you cannot have any proof of what the rest of the world thinks of us. You can only bring forth your feelings and experiences because I highly doubt that the rest of the world has hired you to be their spokesperson.

I can understand that something has upset you and you come here to get validation from any random people...eventhough you may know in the back of your mind that ranting here won't help you at all. You-just-need-to-rant-at-or-to-somebody. Do you think that whatever got you upset is going to right itself if your huffing and puffing HERE?

I've seen this "need to rant to anyone with a sympathetic ear because something just got me upset" from close range and I think it's silly. Especially if the direction the person is complaining to will not help their cause. Things just don't work that way here or Sweden or Britain or bloody anywhere else. How come is it so difficult to take your time to see how this system works and how to work with it, learn the language and make connections and integrate yourself into the society? Finnish system may make it difficult but heck, you and others in a same situation have the responsibility of your own lives and how succesful you are in whatever you do. By putting blame on someone else you take away from yourself the ability to change your life...meaning "if your life sucks, that's your own fault".

I KNOW that finns aren't the most hated people in the world. There is no such thing as the "most hated". A single person may have a certain geographical location on top of their hate-list, but a country and it's people to be globally or universally hated from top to bottom...oh, get real. Your arguments as to what are the reasons why finns are hated just prove how you've only seen and experienced one side of the coin.

So, Finland isn't your place. Big deal. There's a whole wide world out there and you are most welcome to find your place outside of this "most hated" country...where ever that may be. Maby next door to Conan O'Brien...?


PS. Please stop generalizing 'cos that's so silly. If you wanna say, damn I hate this country...dont' say the whole world hates this country just to emphasize what you're saying. Generalizing does not make what your saying more bealievable.

I was reading your message and thinking about your current situation. I was born and raised in Finland and moved to the USA, when I was 19. I have family and friends in Finland and I am proud to call myself Finnish citizen. Be atleast greatful if you have a roof over your head and food to eat in Finland. If you would have ended up in an other country outside EU, things could be even worse. USA has been very good to me, but I know for a fact that I have to work hard for everything I have, because nobody gets things for free here. If you don't work, you don't eat. There are no social benefits either. When I go to see a doctor, I have to pay for it all or have a private health insurance which is not cheap to help pay for the visit. Sure, the taxes are much less here, but you pay for every and each thing otherwise. So, good luck in Sweden or Africa or where ever you end up and remember it could always be worse!
