Islamilaista valtiota (ISIS) kutsuttin Irakin al-Qaedaksi (AQI, al-Qaeda Irak) ennen vuotta 2014.
Al-Nusra on al-Qaedan liittolainen. Ryhmä on syyllistynyt lukemattomiin julmuuksiin Syyriassa. Obaman hallinto kutsuu sitä “maltilliseksi oppositioksi”.
Yhdysvaltain “terrorismin vastainen kampanja” tarkoittaa ns. “maltillisen” al-Qaedan (lue: al-Nusran) tukemista.

More ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists are being killed and their vehicles and weapons were destroyed as the army goes on with its intensive operations against their positions and hideouts in various areas, while also thwarting their attacks in others.

Deir Ezzor

The army’s air force targeted gatherings of ISIS terrorists east of Deir Ezzor military airport in the past few hours, killing scores of them and destroying vehicles loaded with arms and equipped with various machineguns, a military

source told SANA on Wednesday.

ISIS terrorists suffered heavy losses in army airstrikes launched against their dens and gatherings in al-Bugheiliyeh village in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor province.

In the meantime, a field source said an army unit, in cooperation with the engineering units, carried out yesterday an ambush leading an ISIS group on to a street in al-Sinaa neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city after planting the street with landmines and bombs.

The bombs were then detonated, leaving at least 75 terrorists dead, who included foreigners, in addition to destroying their arms, equipment and a cannon.

Army units also destroyed a position for ISIS terrorists in al-Hweiqa neighborhood and vehicle equipped with a rocket launching pad in al-Jubeiliyeh neighborhood.

Aleppo

Army units destroyed vehicles and sites of Jabhat la-Nusra during concentrated strikes against their gatherings and fortified sites in Orum al-Sughra, Kafar A’ma and Zitan villages to the south of Aleppo city.

The army’s operations continued against terrorists’ gatherings and supply routes in Bayanoun town to the northwest of Aleppo, destroying terrorists’ vehicles.

In the eastern countryside of Aleppo, an army unit destroyed ISIS sites in Abu Jabar village in Kweiris area.

In Aleppo city, an army unit killed number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists during accurate operation against their dens in al-Saliheen neighborhood.

Homs

An army unit carried out on Wednesday morning a series of intensive operations targeting ISIS sites to the north and east of Palmyra city in Homs countryside.

According to the source, the operations resulted in destroying fortifications for ISIS terrorists and a number of vehicles near the stores site to the north of Palmyra, in addition to the death of many terrorists.

Daraa

An army unit thwarted an attack by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists on a military post on the southern outskirts of al-Menshiyeh neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad area in Daraa city.

The army unit clashed with the terrorists who infiltrated towards the military post, killing a number of them and destroying their weapons before the rest fled.

USA:n hallinto toimittaa aseita ja ammuksia terroristeille Syyriassa.
Sotilas- ja yrityssuhteista raportoiva viikkojulkaisu Jane’s Defence Weekly on julkaissut tietoja aseistuksesta, jota Yhdysvallat sovitusta tulitauosta huolimatta toimittaa Syyrian hallitusta vastaan taisteleville ryhmille, länsimedian termistössä ”maltilliset kapinalliset” sekä ”Syyrian oppositio”.

Syyrian sotaa pitkittävää ohjelmaa on tukenut niin kutsuttu ”Aseita kapinallisille -ryhmä”, johon kuuluu mm. demokraattien presidenttiehdokas Hillary Clinton, seksiskandaalien takia eronnut CIA-johtaja, kenraali David Petraeus sekä enemmistö Yhdysvaltain ulkopolitiikkaa hoitavan poliittisen establishmentin demokraateista ja republikaaneista.

Asekuljetuksien järjestelyä kapinallisille Syyriassa on hoitanut Robert S. Ford, joka toimi Yhdysvaltain Syyrian lähettiläänä tammikuusta 2011 vuoteen 2014. Ford toimi aiemmin Yhdysvaltain lähettiläs John D. Negroponten kakkosmiehenä Bagdadissa 2004–2005, jolloin Irakissa sovellettiin käyttöön Negroponten Latinalaisessa Amerikassa toteuttamaa ns. Salvador-optiota eli siviilejä terrorisoivien ja murhaavien kuolemanpartioiden ja salaisten vankiloiden yhdistelmää.

Asiasta kertoo USA:n puolustusministeriö Pentagon. Sen mukaan iskujen kohteina oli Isisin hallussa olevia öljynjalostamoja.
Tavoitteena oli iskeä Isisin tärkeimpään tulonlähteeseen eli salakuljetetun raakaöljyn myyntiin.
Isis-terroristijärjestön hallussa on useita öljykenttiä ja öljynjalostamoja Syyriassa. Se hankkii rahaa myymällä raakaöljyä halvalla välikäsien kautta Turkissa ja Jordaniassa.

Hama
An army unit, with a cover from the Syrian Air force, clashed with Jabhat al-Nusra and Jund al-Aqsa terrorists in al-Tamanaa, Skeik and Atshan who tried to attack residential areas in the direction of Maan, 30 km north of Hama city, a military source told SANA on Friday.
The attack was foiled and 28 terrorists were killed, including one of Jabhat al-Nusra leaders in Atshan who is nicknamed “Abu Moussa”, the source confirmed.
Two vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns and 3 cannons were destroyed in the confrontations.
Homs
The Syrian Air Force carried out airstrikes on concentrations and movements of ISIS terrorists north of Palmyra city and around the warehouses in the area in the eastern countryside of Homs province.
A military source told SANA that the airstrikes resulted in killing many members of ISIS and destroying a number of their vehicles, some of them equipped with machineguns.
Later, the source said that Army and Armed Forces units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, thwarted an infiltration attempt by terrorist groups affiliated with ISIS from the direction of Oum Suhairij village towards the villages of Maksar al-Hussan, Tuloul al-Hawa al-Sharqiya, and Tuloul al-Hawa al-Gharbiya in Jubb al-Jarrah area 73 km east of Homs city.
Army units clashed with the attacking terrorists and targeted them with precision fire, which resulted in destroying a number of their vehicles, some of them equipped with machineguns, and killing a number of terrorists, while the remaining terrorists fled towards Oum Suhairij and nearby villages where they are holed up.
Deir Ezzor
Army units targeted ISIS positions in al-Sinaa and al-Ummal neighborhoods in Deir Ezzor city, destroying them along with the weapons and equipment inside.
In the meantime, the army’s air force hit gatherings and fortifications of ISIS terrorists in al-Kassarat area and Baqjaji farm on the southern outskirts of Deir Ezzor city.
Sweida
An army unit destroyed two vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns belonging to Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Sheikh Hussein and Khleif hills in Sweida countryside.
Daraa
An army unit targeted with concentrated artillery fire 4 vehicles belonging to Jabhat al-Nusra which were moving in Tal al-Sheikh Hussein and Toloul Khalif in the far northeast countryside of Daraa province.
At least 2 vehicles were destroyed, many terrorists were killed and others were injured due to the artillery strikes.
In Daraa al-Balad, army units clashed with terrorist groups affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra who were attacking military checkpoints to the east of al-Karak Tank and al-Abassia neighborhood.
Numbers of terrorists were killed and their vehicles and mortar launchers were destroyed in the clashes.

Over 70 Jihadists killed in failed west Aleppo offensive

On Tuesday afternoon, the Jihadist rebels of Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group), the Free Syrian Army (FSA), Jaysh Al-Mujahiddeen, and Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki launched a new offensive that targeted the Syrian government controlled Al-Zahra Association Quarter in west Aleppo. The Jihadist rebels began the assault by detonating a large tunnel bomb underneath the dilapidated Air Force Intelligence building in the Al-Zahra Quarter; this explosion could be heard as far east as the Old Aleppo District. Following the massive explosion, the Jihadist rebels stormed the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) defenses in the Al-Zahra Quarter, resulting in a fierce battle that lasted for several hours on Tuesday. The Syrian Armed Forces were finally able to beat back the Jihadist rebels after killing as many as 70 of them at the Air Force Intelligence (AFI) building and the Great Prophet Mosque of Aleppo City. According to a military source in Aleppo City, the entire Al-Zahra Quarter has been secured by the Syrian Armed Forces, including the Zahra-Layramoun axis that was under heavy attack.

Russian artillery devastates rebels in Aleppo as Syrian Army retakes vital fortification.
Moments ago, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) recaptured the so-called Family House park in western Aleppo which was lost to Islamist rebels earlier today. Around midnight, a special SAA operation – led by 106th Brigade of the Republican Guard, Hezbollah and Air Force Intelligence units – wrestled the Family House park from rebels.
Furthermore, a military source in Aleppo told al-Masdar that Russian artillery units had participated in the battle; this is the first time Russian ground troops assist the SAA outside Latakia province and the Palmyra frontline. This corresponds with reports of Russian artillery moving to Aleppo two weeks ago. On the rebel side, militias involved were Harakat Nour al-Din al-Zenki, Jaish al-Muhajireen wal-Ansar and Jabhat al-Nusra. The latter two groups are officially affiliated to al-Qaeda. Contrary to the friendly sounding name, the embattled Family House park lies on the very frontline of western Aleppo and represents a launching pad for rebels to enter the city’s western government-held districts. Several T-72 tanks and tens of airstrikes ensured that Islamist rebels were forced to flee westwards while government troops could re-enter the building blocks and set up new defensive positions. The military source also said approximately 70 militants were killed during the battle with most of their bodies discovered inside the housing.

Provinces, SANA- The Syrian army air force on Tuesday continued to target gatherings and vehicles of the Takfiri terrorist organizations across the country, inflicting heavy losses upon them in the arms and the personnel.
Homs
The Syrian army air force carried out intensive sorties against gatherings and movements of terrorist groups affiliated to ISIS terrorist organization in the eastern countryside of Homs central province.
A military source told SANA that the army air force destroyed a convoy of vehicles and a number of mortar launchers and cannons for ISIS terrorists in intensive sorties against their gatherings and movements to the north of Palmyra City, in the surroundings of al-Shaer oil field, the field No. /106/ and to the east of the field No. /110/ and in the Furat area.
77 km to the east of Homs City, the Syrian army air force carried out airstrikes against fortified positions and infiltration axes of ISIS terrorists in Hwaises village and to the south of Jib al-Jarrah town where a number of their dens and machinegun-equipped vehicles were destroyed, and a number of them were killed.
Army units foiled an attack by ISIS terrorist organization on a number of military posts north and east of al-Shaer oil field in Homs eastern countryside.
A number of ISIS terrorists, including a leader of Saudi nationality, were killed and an armored vehicle, a mortar launcher and a mortar position were destroyed in the army’s operation.
Hama
The Syrian army air force carried out sorties against dens and movements of the ISIS terrorists in the northeastern countryside of Hama central province.
The army air force destroyed terrorists’ vehicles and gatherings in al-Alyia village and to the east of Ethrayia-Khanaser road in the northeastern countryside.
Sweida
A military source told SANA that an army unit launched accurate strikes against one of ISIS gatherings in in al-Maftra village in the northeast countryside of Sweida, destroying two vehicles, one of them equipped with a heavy machinegun.
Deir Ezzor
The army destroyed gatherings and mortar launch-pads for ISIS in a number of areas in the eastern city of Deir Ezzor.
Field sources told SANA that a unit of the army carried on fierce clashes with ISIS terrorists in al-Sina’a neighborhood in Deir Ezzor.
The sources added the clashes ended up with the killing of a number of terrorists and the injury of many others, among them so called terrorist Abu Ayoub al-Halabi.
