Kiitos:)

Halloota! oon kans au pairina täällä ja voit laittaa mailii osotteeseen:[email protected]
Oon myös lähössä!
elokuun alussa.
Oot tehny hyvän päätöksen, tulet varmasti viihtymään. Oon ollu koht 9 kk tääl lastenhoitajana ja oon ainakin syksyyn 2006 saakka jollen kauemminkin.
Veroa tääl menee ihan muutama hassu prosentti, en kyl tie yhtä miten aupaireil toi verotus menee.
2) EUn alueella tuo taskuraha on verovapaata. Se tarkoittaa 0%.
3) Kaikki muut maat paitsi Suomi on ratifioineet au pair sopimuksen.
Saksaa en myöskään osaa, joten saksankielen kursseille olisi kiva osallistua. Minkähän hintaisia nämä kielikoulut oikein mahtavat olla??
Kiitos!
Saa lentojakin halvalla, mut me ollaan ainakin todettu et junal kannattaa matkustaa. Varsinkin jos ostaa gleis7 ja halbtax- kortit!! Gleis7 on matkustus täysin ilmasta koko sveitsin alueella 7 jälkeen ja halb taxil matkat saa puoleen hintaan. Kortteja on monenlaisia, jote kannattaa miettii tarkkaan mikä kannatta ostaa. On vähän kiinni siitäkin et mihin päin zurichia oot tulos.
Saksan kursseja on todella monen hintaisia ja tasoisia. Itse maksan 4 tunti/vko 200 fr/kk, mut mun kaveri maksaa 2 h/vko, 500 fr joku melke puol vuotta.

Those interested in a domestic position with a Swiss family should know the rules laid down by each Swiss canton. You must be a female between the ages of 17 (18 in Geneva) and 29 from Western Europe, North America, Australia, or New Zealand, stay for a minimum of one year and a maximum of 18 months, and attend a minimum of three hours a week of language classes in Zürich, four in Geneva. Families in most places are required to pay half the language school fees of SFR500-SFR1,000 for six months.
Au pairs in Switzerland work for a maximum of 30 hours per week, plus babysitting once or twice a week. The monthly salary varies among cantons but the normal range starts at SFR800 from which compulsory deductions are made for tax and health insurance.

Instruction sheet on the employment of foreign au pairs
(employment in Kanton Zurich except the cities of Zurich and Winterthur)
In the context of the agreement between member states of the Council of Europe, of which
Switzerland is also a member, au pairs are young people who stay with a family in an area where
another language is spoken for the purpose of learning the language or engaging in further education
and who provide for their needs by giving limited assistance in the household of the guest family.
a) Fundamentally only au pairs from EU countries, the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand
are admitted.
b) The foreigner’s mother tongue is a language other than German and the guest family’s
everyday language is German.
c) The housewife or houseman is not of the same mother tongue as the au pair employee.
d) The guest family’s child or children are under 16 years of age.
e) The housewife or houseman is present in the household during at least half the au pair’s
working hours.
f) The au pair may not be younger than 17 years of age and not older than 30.
No permits for au pairs will be issued to families and individuals without children.
The general conditions of employment for au pairs are similar to the normal contracted labor
conditions for household employees in the Canton of Zurich. Weekly working hours should not exceed
30 hours. The employee has a right to at least 1½ days off per week. At least two free days in a fourweek
period must be Sundays.
See overleaf
The employer agrees to assist the au pair in the choice of a suitable school and to monitor attendance
at the school. The au pair must commence schooling within four weeks after entering the country. The
guest family has to pay 50% of the cost of schooling. The minimum pay in cash is at present Fr 600.-
to Fr. 700.- depending on the size of the household and the age of the au pair.
Au pairs have a claim to compensation for meals which they do not consume at their workplace on
their days off; the rate is similar to the rates stipulated under the old-age pension legislation. They
have a right to cash payment while on vacation and for compensation for payment in kind which they
then miss in conformity with the rates set under old-age pension legislation. Au pairs must be insured
by the employer for the consequences of sickness and accident in conformity with the law on
obligatory accident insurance. Tax at source, employee’s contributions to the OAP/II/EO/UI, half of the
premiums for health insurance and the total premium for non-occupational accidents may be deducted
from the au pair’s pay. The au pair is obliged to pay taxes on income in the year the 19th birthday is
attained.
Answers to questions on the employer/employee relationship can be obtained from Hauswirtschaft

Permits are issued for 12 months (permit for a short-term stay or for a contract less than one year to a
maximum of 364 days) and in justifiable cases an extension of up to 24 months can be granted to the
original guest family.
Au pairs from non-EU states may only be invited to come to Switzerland after written permission has
been received from the Immigration Office of the Canton of Zurich.
The conditions regulating the issue of short-term EU entry and residence permits apply to au pairs
from EU countries.

Applications from employers in Zurich and Winterthur are dealt with by the municipal labor offices.

Juu, Sveitsi ei kuulu EU:hun )blush) joten au pair joutuu maksamaan veroa. Vero ilmeisesti kuitenkin on varsin pieni:

Taxes are one of the most complicated aspects of Swiss life. I doubt there is another country on earth with a more complicated system. Consider the fact that there are in fact 26 different tax systems in Switzerland, one for every state. Add to that the fact that you don't only pay tax to the state, you also pay it to the federal government, but most baffling of all, you pay the bulk of your annual tax bill to the local city council. Now, each city council can set its tax levels to suit their needs. The result is that the people across the road living in the neighbouring city council may pay less than you do.
If you've just recently entered Switzerland then your tax will most probably be deducted directly from your salary. This "Quellensteuer" is paid on a month by month basis to protect the Swiss in case you skip the country. All others who have been here for a while receive a tax form to fill out once every year (or two depending in which state you live) and you are generally taxed based on your income over the last two years (but then again, there are some states that tax you on your present earning levels). The result is that in March every year you receive a whopping great bill for thousands of francs that must be paid by May. For those not too keen on saving up in advance, there is the possibility of paying your tax bill in three instalments.
The tax levels are generally quite low compared to other European countries.
