It might be hard because even native Finnish and three foreign languages are not enough to get a job in here. Of course the language requirements are depending on the job that you are interested in, but prepare for serious difficulties.
Maybe it's possible but surely it isn't easy. Large globalized companies like Nokia may take workers that don't speak Finnish but smaller companies and companies not situated in biggest towns - well, almost impossible.
If you want to get a job, so learn the language. Finnish isn't harder language to learn than other languages - unlike generally thought.
Finnish=no job!!
I have an aussie friend, who's been working in Finland for 6 years. His Finnish is almost non existent, and working language is English. He's working in the field of research. So if you have a talent, which is needed, language is not an issue even in this country.
Hi!
I completed a bachelor degree in management of tourism, it is practically the same of "restonomi" in Finland, I speak well english and my finnish is quite good, I have been living 10 months in finland looking for a job, whatever job, but nothing, they never call me for the interview. They want fluency in finnish even for cleaning.
There are many foreigners in Helsinki who are well educated plus lot of Finns who apply for same position than foreigners, so competition is really high.You must speak really well finnish and sometimes they ask also swedish, well except if you have big experience or you are a rare resource in your field, you don`t have many probabilities to find a job.
In 4 years of no continuos living in Finland,I have found totally 1 training period and I had 2 short job experience but in really low postions .
Yes it is quite difficult!
I´ve been working for Nokia a couple of yrs and know quite a few foreigners who found a job immediately when they arrived to Finland. So it really depends on your luck and profession.
