Twenty bucks

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200 he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?"

Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this."

He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill. He then asked, "Who still wants it?"

Still the hands were up in the air. "Well," he replied, "What if I do this?"

And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?"

Still the hands went into the air. "My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who do love you. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by who we are. You are special, don't ever forget it."

Remember to count your blessings, not your problems. If God brings you to it, he will bring you through it. Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride!"

A well-known speaker started off her seminar by holding up an Always sanitary towel in wrapping. In the room of 200 he asked, "Who of you ladies would like to have this sanitary towel?"

Hands started going down. She said, "I am going to give this sanitary towel to one of you but first, let me do this."

He proceeded to open up the sanitary towel. She then asked, "Who still wants it?"

And she went to powder room and inserted the sanitary towel in her panties. She then came to speaker's desk, lifted her skirt and took the sanitary towel off her panties. It looked pretty crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?"

No hands went into the air. "My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. The sanitary towel represent the market value of the human labour. When it is pristine and immaculate, there are always people who want to use it up. When it had been opened, most of you wisely thought that why bother to take it as you can always get new, immaculate work force off the schools and universities. And once the labourer has immersed enough years and experience, he is pretty much used up - just like an used sanitary towel - and is good only for to be discarded.

Many times in our lives, we are opened up, used and soiled by the maelstroms of the work life circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. And exactly that is what we are. The more we gain experience, maturity and years under our belt, the less value we will be to any employer. The dirtier or more crumpled, the less value you are still to those whom you are compelled to sell your labour. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by who we are. You are most valuable when you are immaculate, don't ever forget it."

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but should skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride!", you can be certain you have ended up your life in poverty or misery, being needless to anyone. The older you live, the sicklier, poorer and miserable you are likely to be when you kick the bucket
