Being the most 'competitive' country on the planet.
Hah, 'competitive' my ass, high unemployment rate, high taxing, every public service is being cut if not now in the near future. I mean sure if you like to call this country 'competitive' go a head, I know it's course, which kind of reminds me of Titanic.
Sometimes I find it funny to be correct on every freaking unobvious issue that none of you people want to face, actually at all.
Admittedly, Finland is a kind of a banana republic when compared to other "welfare states".
We have high unemployment, low related welfare costs and low wage rates. Thus, being cheap on the bosses, the unemployment in not regarded as "a problem". On the other hand we have very high executive wages and benefits and so on.
Also, Finland has very low tax rates almost in every aspect, expect in VAT taxing, as the food is taxed at insanely high rates.
Cutting the public services is regarded as "being competitive" the American Way. You cut the jobs, benefits, services etc. And then some day you end up with your very own New Orleans.
Finland IS the most competitive country in the world. Admit the truth. That competitiveness is, however, achieved only by leeching off the backs of the workers and the poor.
