Are you Lucky in Love?

If there's one area in life where we tend to feel unlucky it's in the area of romance. Each of us has a story of love gone bad, where a partner was unfaithful, unkind, untruthful, or treated us badly. We all have had the experience of unmet expectations, disappointments and heartache in relationships. Some of us have even had several of those experiences. And they can lead us to believe that we are just plan unlucky when it comes to romance, to the point where we can become unwilling to put ourselves in the situation of trying one more time to find and keep a romantic relationship in our lives. If we truly believe that we are unlucky in love then we will continue to attract difficult relationships. We must trust that we can create the relationship of our dreams, becoming lucky in love, even if our past experiences prove otherwise.
It seems so difficult to find that one person, that kindred spirit, that will make our heart sing, give us the companionship, love and security that we all seek. We look at those who appear to have that and think that they are lucky. And if we don't have it, or have not been able to create it, we're unlucky. That's our perception and while our past reality may have reflected that, it was also our choices that created that reality. But like everything else in our lives, it starts with us. If we don't believe that we can be lucky in the area of romance, then we never will be. We become lucky in love by following the same process that we do to manifest anything in our life-we decide what we want, believe that we can have it and act as though it's already ours. And we have to know that luck in love is out there for us and trust that it will come. All we have to do is 'put ourselves out there'. But this time, with a different twist.
Opening ourselves to the experience of relationships requires that we become vulnerable, which brings up the memories of all of our previous unlucky relationship experiences. And that brings the fear that that could happen again. Yes, it could but it also could be something totally different. Taking the first step is difficult unless we start with establishing what we want in the context of the belief that we can have it. It doesn't matter what happened before, we have the power and ability to create a new and different experience for ourselves in relationships as long as we have a strong conviction that this time we will be 'lucky' and create the possibility for a fulfilling and joyful relationship that meets our every need.
We create our own luck in relationships, as we do in every other area of our lives. Our belief that we are unlucky in love stems from the past but we must live in the now, in the present moment. No matter what our past experiences brought us, each new day brings us the opportunity to create something different, a life that is full of joy. To create love in our lives we must focus exclusively on whatever we want to create and keep that focus, remembering that what we attract resonates with our beliefs. When we learn to master our beliefs, we control everything that happens to us and around us, including the kind of love that we experience. Focus on being lucky in love and you will create the loving relationships of your dreams.
