Female Logic
Females often take the direct approach to solving problems. This one young woman friend of mine failed to hear back from her doctor regarding some tests she had had done. She simply telephoned the doctor's wife, whom she had known for years, and explained her problem.
The test results were delivered quickly, along with an apology.
I told her that was neat. That unfortunately though, I didn't know any of my doctors' wives.
Having considered me somewhat of a flirt, she replied, "That would explain why you're still alive."
Seems to me women just don't get logic at all. I mean while the kids were growing up, she complained that all she did was cook and clean and take care of the kids and run errands. Thinking I could help out some, I asked her if she wanted me to hire someone to be my wife.
Instead of being grateful like I expected, she hit the ceiling !!!
(Thank God... she always was a terrible shot)
A PlayBoy falls in love with a showgirl and lavishes everything on her. He buys her expensive clothes, jewelry and even a new car. Then one day, he proposes.
The showgirl answers, "Me marry you ??? No way !!! The way you throw your money around ???"
Grace and Martha had been close friends for years, having met at Vassar and graduated together. They decided to spend a weekend together in New York and went to a well advertised art show.
Grace noticed that one canvas of a provocative reclining nude bore a striking resemblance to her friend. "Martha !!!" she gasped, quite shaken, "that painting looks exactly like you. Don't tell me you've been posing in the nude."
"Certainly not !" Martha stammered, blushing. "He must have painted it entirely from memory."
I got the strangest e-mail the other day. A female friend and I do an awful lot of teasing, and apparently, she thought she had offended me. She said (and I quote):
"Dear Jimmy,
I hope you are not angry with me. I want to explain that I was really only joking when I told you I didn't mean what I said about reconsidering my decision not to change my mind. Please believe I really mean this !"
One morning over coffee, three young secretaries were discussing the age old fantasy about the kind of man they'd most like to be stranded on a tropical island with.
"I'd want a man who was a good conversationalist." said the first, "Because life there could become rather boring."
"Well, that would be nice," said the second young lady, "But I'd rather have one who could hunt and fish, as well as prepare and cook whatever it was he caught."
"All so true." said the last, and most practical of the three. "But personally, I think I'd settle for a top notch obstetrician."
