    FOX syyllistyy esimerkiksi iihen että he:
    Vähättelevät uutisia. Muuttavat totuutta matkalla. Eivät anna puheenvuoroja haastatektaville. Varmistavat että haastateltava ei pääse kunnolla sanomaan asiaansa, varmistavat että lopputulos on aina Bushia myötäilevä...ja sortuvat rasistisisten viestien välittämiseen.

    Suomessa nämä ihmiset olisivat työttömiä!

    Countdown spent a lot of time on this story. Rumsfeld's top mouth piece Larry DiRita went after Galloway after he printed an article about General Paul Van Riper. He said it was irresponsible to give a retired general a platform to do the unthinkable criticise Rumsfeld. An interesting email exchange took place. Galloway smacked Larry down hard.

    Fox uutiskanava on selkeä propagandakanava Bushinmielisille neokonservatiiveille. Ei pitäisi olla mikään yllätys että Rupert Murdoch on yksi niistä jotka näyttää vihreää valoa hirmuhallinnon aikaansaannoksille.

    Ann Coulter on aivoton, kovaääninen haaskalintu. Ihmetyttää miksi hän saa niin paljon julkisuutta, mutta kai se niin on että pahan ääni kuuluu kauemmas ja selkeämmin kuin hyvän.

    CNN's Kyra Phillips interviewed Salon.com author Michael Scherer who is challenging The New York Times assertion that Ali Shalal Qaissi appeared in the most famous of the Abu Ghraib "hooded man on box" photos.

    CNN's interview (and many other reports in the media) focus on an error made The Times. Mr. Qaissi's claim that he was tortured in Abu Ghraib and that he appeared in one or more of the "hooded man on box" photos has not been challenged. Nonetheless, all of the attention on mistakes in reporting may taint Mr. Qaissi's reputation and hurt his efforts to bring attention to the atrocities being committed by our government.

    At one point in this interview, Kyra Phillips actually asks "... are these prisoners trying to capitalize on these pictures? Are they looking for opportunities to make money?"

    CNN's Soledat O'Brien proved to be an effective proxy for the GOP noise machine as she challenged Feingold's proposed censure of Bush with flurry of misleading Republican talking points.

    Not to be too critical of Soledat but she may be in over her head by sparring with Senator Feingold on the subject of illegal wiretaps.

    Senator Feingold introduced the censure proposal yesterday on ABC This Week. You can see the full interview with George Stephanopolous here.

    In an article published by Time, Daren Fonda explains an existing business relationship between Halliburton and another UAE owned company that is providing services for U.S. Navy Ships.

    Halliburton denies the rumors that it may take over the U.S. ports for Dubai.

    The Bush appointment of a former Dubai Ports Executive, David Sanborn, as head of the U.S. Maritime Administration is also under scrutiny. In his new position, Sanborn now oversees all U.S. port operations. Dubai Ports has hired Bob Dole and two other Republican ex-senators to lobby Congress. The UAE paid over 750k to lobbying firms last year.

    MSNBC Countdown provides analysis from David Sirotaan who is an expert on big money's influence on government:


    This is not a scandal about one deal with one country. What's especially motivating the President in his threat to issue a veto is the fact that he knows that if Congress is allowed to override this [deal] a precedent is set.
    ...
    America's trade policy, for two decades, has entirely been [controlled by] corporate-owned free trade. If this deal is allowed to be blocked it would set a precedent that security concerns are now going to be put into the trade policy. That is something that [Bush's] big corporate donor's do not want.

    ...
    During NAFTA we saw labor and environmental standards thrown out the window. During the China PNTR deal we saw human rights standards thrown out the window. And now what we're seeing here is essentially security concerns thrown out the window. Basically allowing corporations to pursue the profit motive no matter what they want.
