Metallican äijätkö sen todistaa että Manowarin heput on pellejä? Voi jestas sentään. Manowarilla on oma teemansa ja "pilke silmäkulmassa" sitä hommaansa tehdessä, ei sitä kannata turhan tosissaan ottaa.
En jaksanut vilkaista tuota YouTube-linkkiä (kuten en muitakaan vastaavia) muutamaa sekuntia pidemmälle, mutta "pilkettä silmäkulmassa" -väitteeseen täytynee kuitenkin kommentoida. Jos Manowarin nahkaliivi- ja pöksysotureilla *todellakin* on huumorintajua, on se luonteeltaan kohtuullisen sairasta. Johan siitä todistaa uusin täyspitkänsä, jota on: a. ruoskittu aivan aiheesta ja b. kommentoitu käsittämättömän vähän esimerkiksi juuri tällä foorumilla. Mutta ainakin Metal Archivesin arvosteluissa kyseinen julkaisu saa kuulla ansaitun kunniansa - paria harvaa vastakarvaan kampausta lukuunottamatta...

On se hauskaa kun ihmiset mollaa Manowaria, hädintuskin sitä edes tuntien. Selvästi huomaa ettei olla oltu live anneissa, missä tämän jumalien palvonta on parhaimmillaan. Teräs betoni on hyvää, koska he ovat ottaneet mallia parhaasta Barbarian metallin messiaista ja myös myöntävät Manowarin idolikseen ja mallikseen.
Jo se, että Manowar on vieläkin se sama pullisteleva ja maailmalle v*tut haistatteleva kuningas bändi, niin kyllä minä sille kumarran.

No johan tästäkin rihmasta varsinainen peitsentaittotanner muodostui. Pitäisikö sitä Todellisten Metallisotureiden puhkumaa hiipuliekkiä edes omilla tupakoinnin kuristamilla keuhkoillani ruokkia? Hmm. Kenties. Lähdetään nyt vaikka siitä faktasta, että itse intoilin Manowarista jo "Sign of The Hammerin" ilmestymisen aikoihin. Okei, kyllähän niitä "meikä masturboi nahkapöksyihinsä jo 'Battle Hymnsin' julkaisemisen päivinä" -tosimanowaristejakin täältä Pohjan perukoilta löytyy (ainakin muutama), mutta se Metallin Kuninkaiden kumartaja joka *ei* toivonut Joey DeMaion sävellyskynältä [Unohdetaan suosiolla miekkosen sanoituspuoli, eikös?] uutta "The Triumph of Steeliä" tai "Louder Than Helliä" viimeisimmän studiojulkaisun sijaan, voi... No, miettiä syntyjä syviä. Eli kumartaako liian syvään jumaltensa edessä.
Itse olen henkilökohtaisesti nähnyt Manowarin elävänä vain yhden kerran, "The Triumph of Steelin" julkaisun jälkeisellä suomen-keikalla. Tästä joku voisi päätellä, että olen haaskannut enemmän tai vähemmän raskaalla työllä ansaitsemani rahat johonkin kaikkea muuta kuin Olennaiseen. Mutta totuus vain sattuu meikäläisen tapauksessa olemaan se, etten niin hirveästi live-sessioista perusta. Yhden illan orgasmi - mutta entäs loppuvuosi? Sinänsä ansiokkaiden keikkataltiointi-deeveedeiden sijasta haluaisin nauttia uudesta, laadukkaasta *studiomuzakista*. Mutta jos Manowarin heput - sinänsä ymmärrettävästi - tykkäävät kiertää maailmaa palvovien yleisöjen edessä studiossa puurtamisen sijasta, niin... Lopputulos on "Gods of War". Taiteellinen vapaus on toki se mistä lähdetään, mutta... No joo. Mitäs tuosta vahingosta enempää rutisemaan. Eletään toivossa, että seuraava täyspitkä tarjoaa enemmän (jo pari kertaa aiemminkin kuullun) "King of Kingsin", "Sleipnirin" ja "Die for Metalin" kaltaisia *oikeita* Manowar-zipaleita. täytynee vanhan 80-luvun kasvatin nyt sen verran kommentoida tähän keskusteluun.ensi kosketus manovaariin oli Hail to england,triuph of steel ja metal kings.niin paljon annan herroille arvostusta siitä että ovat jaksaneet samoilla linjoilla vuosikaudet.Itse nyt en ole mikään kauhea manowar fani mutta aina jaksan hattua kyseiselle orkesterille nostaa.mielestäni tässä on yksi hyvä esimerkki hevin hauskuudesta.pitääkö sitä aina ottaa kaikki niin tosissaan.toivottavasti manovar viihdyttää vannoutuneita fanejaan vielä vuosikaudet.fighting the world,they are metal kings!
