A friend of mine told me I can write here to ask about Finnish men. Are FInnish men nice and lovely? I have met many Swedish men in Spain and they were kind. Are Finnish men gentlemen? I want to pat their cheeks... lol.

My opinion might be biased as I am a Finn myself but I think Finnish men are among the best there are. They never lie. They are faithful (ok, maybe not all but they are far from Spanish or Italians). They are usually good providers (the salary could always be better of course). They do a lot of household work (they might like to see women take care of that but Finnish women are often lazy to do their part). They don't raise their voice at home and they never hit a woman. However, Finnish men are not very passionate and they usually speak only when they have something to say. So, if you are looking for someone who tells you all the lies you want to hear in order to feel the deep feelings you should perhaps look for somebody from Gambia or Marocko.

It is NEVER EVER acceptable here, and even the smallest hit can be regarded as violence. If some statistics tell us that Finland has almost the highest amount of domestic violence, it is MOSTLY because it is fairly easy for women to announce the violence, tell about it. And because everything is very well recorded! I think this "news" tells us more that in many many countries hitting women is a part of life, it is accepted (by authoroties, men, and even women). And not spoken about, not recorded. That is why statistics lie. And once again, Finns are very honest people, cliché, but true!!!

LOL... How about you show me those research results... but no wait, it doesn't exist because... what you just said is a lie!
Maybe you've read/ heard etc whatever that domestic violence rate is high in comparison to other EU countries. But FYI domestic violence in Finland is low in the global scale. Understand the difference?

Flattering is quite uncommon in Finland, also dating culture in a way that some men aren't ready to pay for the girl's dinner, movie ticket etc. Or better to say, many Finnish women insist to pay for themselves. Woman can also carry their shoppings, luggages, open the car door and hundreds of little things without man helping them. These things you probably notice first at the beginning. Should you be offended or not...well, that's what i think myself, too =) Blame Finnish women.

I've had a few realationships with both Finnish men and some West European men; mostly because of several years abroad. I must say that the Finnish men still respect a woman by opening a car door etc. but when the foreign guys find out that I can even change the car tyres by myself, they start treating me as a one of the guys. Finnish men..... well; they appreciate my skills and still consider me as a woman (I'm not pretty but anyway). So the fault of a Finnish woman is that we don't respect our Finnish guys. They're the genuine gentlemen if we let them to be.

Finnish men are like any other men. You cannot say that all finnish men are like this or that because we are all individual human beings. But i am happy to say that my finnish man is a gentleman, loving and caring and hes a great chef aswell :)

I know there are good Finns out there. I was married to one and now dating somebody from the Middleast and I am glad I am devorced. It would be difficult for me start dating a Finn again if this relationship didn't work for some reason.
I do not know your background and dating history. You might find our men the best on Earth! Some of them are really, really good men. You just need to find the good one somehow.
