Hello! It´s very nice to hear that you want to come here in Finland as an au pair! You can find a host family for example in these bages: www.mol.fi And then click "avoimet työpaikat" and then write "au pair" to the empty spot next to the "sanahaku". And in there you will find at least a couple of host families who live in Finland.
I hope you understood what I wrote and I really hope you´ll find the loveliest host family and spend a wonderfull au pair year in Finland! :D
Just remember that, unlike in other countries, in Finland you have to pay tax for your au pair pocket money. The local IRS stated in the national newspaper (Helsingin Sanomat) that they consider au pairs as illegal immigrants - although Finland has signed the EU au pair agreement.
Also, most Finns live in apartment houses and you are unlikely to get a room of your own... and most families have just one car so you have to rely on public transport. If you ask me, I would go to US...
