Yello Darudians and other music lovers!
The mix has great new music from Darude's fellow Finn Joonas Hahmo, two tracks actually, and even a remix by him, so I guess it could be called Joonas Sessions... ;) There's a kicking remix of Heatbeat's Mr. Walrus, a beautiful track called 'Right Back' by Yuri Kane and a dancefloor destroyer by Solitude, 'Beautiful Brontosaur', and much more, all good stuff! And in the end it's around 138 bpm mark again, full-on uplifting and energetic trance!

The annual DJ Mag Top100 poll is still open for another three weeks or so, it closes on Sept 23rd. If you haven't voted yet, consider this 2 hour live recording from Ruby Skye, San Francisco, CA on August 28th 2010 as a refresher of what my live sets are like when you head to the http://www.top100djs.net to cast your votes for your favourites! This year Team Darude votes for, ehm, Darude, Weirdness, Randy Boyer, K-System and Joonas Hahmo.
The mix includes the new Gareth Emery bomb, 'Sanctuary', featuring vocals by Lucy Saunders and yet another stomper from my fellow Finn, Joonas Hahmo, his brand new mix of 'Mojito', with sugar added, thank you very much! Another Finn-mention has to go to Super 8 & Tab and their amazing uplifter, 'Mercy'.
The crowd at Ruby Skye was so amazing, so inspiring and so receptive that I threw in a mix of new and some VERY old tracks and everything in between, and it all came together really nicely. This was easily one of the, if not THE highlight set of the year so far for me. I played for almost 3 hours so this mix is slightly edited to make it fit the two hours slot.

This month I've got a guestmixer, non other than my partner in crime, or actually in our up'n'coming record label, the man is called Randy Boyer and he's taking care of the programming of the second hour. The first hour is by yours truly, and a slightly unusual set for me, for it starts from the nice and low tempo of 126 beats per minute and never climbs over 128 bpm! This episode again could almost be named Anjunabeats Vol. X, because there are several Anjuna-gems there, new and old, from the super-Finns Super8 & Tab to Mat Zo to Boom Jinx & Andrew Bayer to Supermodels From Paris... Nevermind the slower tempo, this one is full of energy, and fitting before Randy's set, which takes it up a notch or two, especially in the end.

The mix for this November is a *mixed case*... The first hour is a recording from a recent gig in Scottsdale, Arizona, an outdoor event called Ghostball, with a true crazy Halloween crowd! The recording is a mono one, as the mixer was set mono for a reason or another.
The second hour is a studio recording, kind of continuing where the first hour left off. A couple of Gareth Emery productions, new and old, some Anjuna-tunes again, and a new killer tune from my countrymen Marcus Maison & Will Dragen. Energy!

With this post I'm promoting the March Salmiakki Sessions mix, #70, of course, but I've got a couple of other things to tell you about, too:
1) If you're going to Winter Music Conference in Miami this year, come to our label party at Pinkroom on Friday March 11th where 'EnMass Music presents Darude'. Spinning with me will be the label co-owner Randy Boyer, my fellow Finn K-System and Pinkroom resident Louis Dee. We'll be officially premiering the next EnMass Music release, and we'll most likely play some yet-to-be-named-and-titled future releases as well. ;) 100 first in the door will get an EnMass Music USB stick with our music on it, maybe even something special in addition to that, too.
