people have been butchered in the name of religions. How many have the Christians tortured and drowned and burned? Not a small number! I haven't heard that Buddhism had ever killed followers of other religions. I may be wrong about that, of course, but if it's true, then maybe they are the only religion which is non violent. Violence against others seem to be apparent in all other beliefs, if not in their scriptures, then in their practice at least. I don't think we can define god, but if we attempt to understand it, I'm more prone to take the view that we are all part of something called god. If we go deep down into the smallest structures of atoms in ourselves and in everything there is - plants, animals, materia - it's all energy. perhaps this energy is what so many religions have tried to explain by giving it human traits, and have threatened those who think otherwise. For me, all religions that exclude any other people are man made and inadequate. I don't know the truth, but it's so easy to see a falsehood, I think.

Child abuse is very common in buddhist monasteries. Samurais were buddhists, but butchered people all the time. Dalai lama was leader of theocratical country where people were tortured because they criticized the system. Jesus Christ taught non-violence. He was Lord of Peace. No True Christian has ever murdered or tortured or drowned anyone. Those "christians" who commit murders and other sinful things have changed Jesus to Lusifer.

Islam is not about peace. It's about submission to the moon-god Allah. Islam tells muslims that non-muslims should be murdered or submissed. Those who abandon lies of Islam are ordered to be executed. "Prophet" Mohammed was not a holy man. He was polygamous sex-maniac and child abuser who had 11 wives and one of them was 6-years old little girl. According to Hadiths it was OK to Mohammed to rape or take captive women as sex-slaves.
