I guess you get used to it. I'm 53, never had a girlfriend or sex. I've been coming home to no one all my life. All my friends are either married or in relationshps. One of them has asked me several times, "How can you stand it - being alone, never knowing a woman's touch?" I just shrug and tell them it is what it is. I'm more concerned about my health these days than I am losing my virginity or having a girlfriend. I recently had a relapse of a terrible affliction that has plagued me off and on for 17 years. All I care about is getting better; without good health nothing else matters.
The worst part for me is not knowing what I've missed, but at the same time, trying to imagine what I've missed. There are guys who banged every one of my oneitises, so they all know what it was like to touch and hold them. My imagination can't compete with their reality. Even if their sex was bad, it was still better than what I could imagine.
I feel sorry for you man. 53 and never had any experience. My question is...do you know why. Is it your appearance, how you interact, your job or an endless number of other things.
I've spent too many years trying to figure that one out. I'm not attractive on any physical level. Even when I get dressed up for a rare social engagement, I still look worse than most of the young hipsters or Viagra commercial silver foxes that show up. Women never want to talk to me unless it's to get information about something that might advance their careers (I'm in the entertainment business). Whenever I try to strike up a conversation with a woman, they might engage me for a few minutes, but then the boyfriend appears or the woman drifts away. It's a lost cause. When I attempt to flirt, women never take me seriously. They think it's a joke that I would actually expect them to react with desire or willingness to continue the banter.
After being on this forum for a couple of years, I've noticed that it's not just the ugly guys who are incel. Even some attractive posters have no luck. I've come to the conclusion that sometimes it doesn't matter what you look like, how much money you make, or what your social status is. There's just some undefined quality or energy that some guys put out that repels women. Call it one of the mysteries of the universe. I can't understand why I sometimes see guys who are in terrible physical shape, have no job or money, and have little to no intelligence seem to manage to have a girlfriend or get laid every once in a while. Their world is a different existence.
I remember a oneitits of mine telling me how lonely she was, how much she wanted to be held at night, and be with a guy who cared about her. I told her I really liked being with her and would love to spend more time with her. I then told her that if she ever just wanted to be held, give me a call and I would come over and we could hold each other. She laughed and immediately changed the subject.
