Great Falls Bridal Extravaganza offers 'All Things

Hundreds of attendees flooded the Civic Center in downtown Great Falls on Sunday for the annual Bridal Extravaganza, the largest "all things wedding" expo in north-central Montana.

Whether it's to cross off the last "to-do's" before the big "I Do" or the first step towards planning the Big Day, the bridal extravaganza was an event brides-to-be look forward to all year.

The event featured roughly 30 wedding vendors from around Cascade County specializing in everything from ice sculptures to Botox treatments.

Miss Montana 2016 Danielle Wineman also joined the event this year, sporting the latest wedding styles in the bridal extravaganza's fashion show, a tradition at the event since its creation 20 years ago.

Wineman said, "Everyone's excited, everyone's happy, I mean we're getting ready for weddings here, and you're seeing all of these people getting ready to, to take that next step into their future and we're all here to enjoy that, that process together."

Multiple prizes were up for drawing including free gift baskets, skin care products, jewelry and a mini honeymoon trip to Cane Ridge West located in Lincoln.

The event set up as a "one-stop shop" bridal expo, giving brides the chance to plan their entire wedding without leaving the building.

Bride-to-be Emily Flachmeyer said, "With everything being online lately, you don't always get to see the right colors or the right styles, or, um, this kind of gives you a better idea of who's got good customer service, and who's gonna be really friendly to deal with, and, hopefully get us some better ideas besides just trying to find stuff that I like online."

The event's purpose is to help anxious brides and nervous grooms become organized for the big day while having some fun because that's what coordinators say the bridal extravaganza is all about.

Sue Erickson, vendor coordinator for The Bride's Shop added, "Feeling a little better about their big day, because, they got a little planning help and they don't have to spend so much time worrying and they can do more enjoying."
