"Mr. Lordi injured
Mr. Lordi, the lead singer of Finnish group Lordi which will be performing ‘Hard Rock Hallelujah’ at the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens, injured his leg during a concert in Hämeenlinna, according to Finnish newspaper 'Ilta Sanomat'.
Fortunately for Finnish fans, his leg injuries were not too serious and there is no threat to the band’s participation in the Semi-Final on 18 May. A doctor diagnosed a torn peroneal muscle and knee ligaments, and a good dose of rest has been prescribed before Lordi embarks on his Athens odyssey.
Kimmo Valtanen of Sony BMG pointed out that there was a back-up plan in case Lordi’s leg had been more seriously injured and required a cast – the singer could have performed in an exploding wheelchair, or with flame-throwing crutches. Whether or not the claim was serious will never be known!"
