YOU ARE NEEDED IN AFRICA -NOW!

WHY?

*At least 25 million people in Africa are HIV-positive.
*12 million children who have lost their parents to AIDS face a precarious future.
*90% of all malaria cases are in sub-Saharan Africa
*3,000 children under the age of five die each day from malaria in Africa

SO HOW CAN YOU HELP?

· 6 months preparation in Denmark: Africa studies, team work combined with social work with risk group teenagers
· 6 months Community work in Malawi in HUMANA People to People Projects:
***Child Aid, HIV / AIDS Campaigns and Teacher Training, Tree planning, clothes sales, built preschool and run them..***
· 2 months Evaluation and Promotion Actions in Europe. Share your knowledge for other people.

WHY PREPARATION IN DENMARK?

Your voluntary work at the School Centre will also be an important tool in your preparations for Africa, filled with challenges like:
social and teaching skills, organizing, language training, being in charge...
Training period is not giving you education. Westerner people are academically educated than people in third world. That’s why you don’t need high education to do this work. All you need to have is pure interest and willing to help. Here you will learn pedagogical skills, also languages.

Today is it not self-evident that people can bake bread, paint house or know how to make concrete. Among many other skills these are important to know. Usually these kind of skills and human touch are more needed that to understand what photosynthesis is.
