How many times can you travel to Italy during a lifetime without someone in Italy saying "go home, don't come again"? I noticed once that I wasn't completely welcomed in Florence (Firenze).Somehow I didn't melt in...But I loved the Ponte Vecchio area and Fiesole and the Intimissima and the Salvatore Ferragamo shops.
As my guide I had Kim Björklund.
I had a presentation about Palazzo Pitti. My pal had one about the Uffizi.
Ever since I've been burning for art and art history and I love painting, which I did even before my trip in 2001.Coming Back

To avoid getting lost, I orientated around by using the Duomo as a marker.I escaped sometimes from Kim's and Filippa Forsman's boring paper readings.
Next time I'm going without parental hosting- or guides, for that matter.I hate family trees. There was a girl who was really geeky with thick glasses who only did gregorian choir singing in her life. With her I went to a Chinese restaurant where the staff didn't want to accept our money. Then there was also a sporty spice type on that course, a girl who inhaled and exhaled somehow dominantly over me and the others. With that person I nearly broke XXS-sized camisoles in the Intimissima shop.Luckily I noticed in time that apparently, I was actually too fat for those garnments. In Fiesole Filippa got a shock from seeing marijuana joints spread around in a coctail bar..
The best food I ate was swordfish and the best drink I sipped was Campari Orangina.
But Kim was a bully,really.
