En löydä mistään suomeksi vastinetta McLuhanin käyttämälle termille resonant making. Osaisikohan joku sanoa sille oikean vastineen.

»McLuhan used the term "resonance" as a synonym for "analogy". This provides a clue to understanding many passages where he mentions "resonance". He wrote to John W. Mole:
...I am a Thomist for whom the sensory order resonates with the divine Logos. I don't think concepts have any relevance in religion. Analogy is not concept. It is community. It is resonance. It is inclusive. It is the cognitive process itself. That is the analogy of the divine logos.
(Letters, to John W. Mole, O.M.I., Apr. 18, 1969, p. 368-9.)»
analogy (engl.) = analogia, kirjeenvaihto, rinnakkaisilmiö, vastaavuus, vertailu, verranto, yhdenmukaisuus, yhtäpitävyys (suom.)
resonant making = yhdenmukaistaminen, ”samalle aaltopituudelle saattaminen”?
Resonanssi (engl. resonance) tunnetaan tekniikassa myös nimellä myötävärähtely.
Pysyn kannassani:
The original town criers -- spreading the local news to all who could hear them -- were replaced first by print, then radio, film, and television to create ever-widening circles of influence. Electronic media, McLuhan claimed, created a global "tribal echoland" of media resonance where people from nations all over the globe became our neighbours and we could listen in on their conversations.
