Jos olisin ollut tylsä niin olisin laittanut top-5 levyihin pelkkiä Pink Floydin levyjä mutta halusin vähän värikkäämän listan. Top-5 bäditkin muuttuu aika usein, paitsi ehkä Pink Floyd, joka on pysynyt ja pysyykin pitkään lempi bändinä. Ja ihan syystäkin.

The Jade´s debut album Seconds Away From Salvation has now been released in Japan and nine European countries. And the new single Yesterday´s Rain is out now.
The songs of the album are mainly composed by Pekko Mantzin, playing the guitars, getting support in songwriting from the bass player Jann P.H. and the lead singer Wille Rosén.The fourth member of the group is Sirpa, the dark lady behind the drums.
Their previous singles, catchy Drowning and their long time live favourite, rock version of Pet Shop Boys´ It´s A Sin both made to the Official Finnish Download Chart as well as the Official Finnish Singles Chart Top Ten. With their third single King´s Cross the band showed their harder side. The lyrics of the song definitely tell what it is about.
The influences of British rock can be heard on The Jade´s music and it´s not an incident. Such bands as The Beatles, Sex Pistols, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, The Clash, Queen and Rolling Stones for example are very often mentioned as the members´ all time favourite bands in The Jade´s interviews. Also three of the band members lived in London for years playing and performing in various bands. The new single, melodic power-pop song, Yesterday´s Rain has been released in the end of January 2010, at the same time when the album was released in Japan.
The recordings of Seconds Away From Salvation took place this summer and in the fall at Seawolf Studios in Suomenlinna, a place where classical Finnish rock bands like Hanoi Rocks have recorded, under the supervision of old legends Hannu Leidén and Petri Majuri themselves.
The Jade has already been touring twice in Germany, visited also Switzerland and Sweden.
North & South is a Finnish independent rock label, having
previously succeed to produce gold discs as well as number one hits.
In Europe the record has been released through Twilight-Vertrieb.

The Jade debyyttialbumi on julkaistu Japanissa 2010 alussa ja yhdeksässä Euroopan maassa vuoden 2009 lopussa.
The Jade perustettiin vuoden 2004 kesällä Itä-Helsingissä. Saman vuoden syksynä nauhoitettiin Heatwave EP ja yhtye aloitti keikkailun. Alkuperäisessä kokoonpanossa oli lisänä koskettimissa Mike K. Yhtyeen seuraava julkaisu, Slow Motions on the Fast Lanes, julkaistiin vuoden 2006 lopussa ja se sai hyviä arvosteluja ulkomaita myöten. Levy soi eri nettiradiokanavilla ja myös virallisilla radioaalloilla mm. Saksassa ja USAssa. Huomiota on tullut myös mm. suositun MySpace-sivuston kautta. Yhtyeelle on perustettu fanisivustoja ja street teamejä eri puolilla maailmaa. Keväällä 2008 The Jade solmi ensimmäisen virallisen levytyssopimuksen indieyhtiö North & Southin kanssa.
The Jade soittaa rock/alternative-genren musiikkia, joka pyörii rockin punaisen langan ympärillä eri sävyissään. Brittivaikutteet eivät ole vahinko, sillä moni bändin jäsenistä on viettänyt muutaman vuoden Lontoossa. Wille on puolestaan vieraillut myös laulamassa taustat Widescreen Moden uudella albumilla, jolta Everlasting Bomb single päätyi Suomen viralliselle latauslistalle ykköseksi.
Livenä The Jade on energinen. Jäsenille musiikki on intohimo ja missio. Bändi pyrkii luomaan kansainvälisen uran. Kotimaassaan The Jade on lämmitellyt mm. Dingoa ja Poets Of The Fallia.
Levysopimuksen solmimista (2008) seurasi Saksan kiertueet huhtikuussa ja lokakuussa. Jälkimmäinen sisälsi myös keikan Sveitsin puolella ja kiertue kattoi valtaosan Saksan suurimmista kaupungeista. Ruotsissa on myös keikkailtu. Myös kaksi aikaisempaa singleä tulevalta albumilta menivät viralliselle Top10 -listalle. Ensimmäinen virallinen julkaisu 'Drowning' single ollen #9. Toinen julkaisu ylsi listasijalle #4 ja pysytteli syntisesti singlelistalla 5 peräkkäistä viikkoa: 'It's a Sin'.
Uusi single Yesterday´s Rain on julkaistu tammikuussa 2010.
