Jos tuo olisi hoksattu silloin kun punasiirtymää alettiin käyttämään "todisteena maailmankaikkeuden laajenemisesta", niin silloin tätä "todistetta" ei olisi otettu käyttöön. Myös vierekkäisten galaksien punasiirtymissä on anomalioita:

Mitä mahdat tarkoittaa termillä "oman galaksin punasiirtymä"? Emme tietenkään voi havaita _omalla_ galaksillamme mitään punasiirtymää! Meillä ei voi olla punasiirtymää _itsemme_ suhteen!

Punaisempi ja pienempi siis kauempana. Tosiaankin joku espanjalaisryhmä on kirjoittanut vuonna -94 jutun, jossa yritti melko huonolla menestyksellä todistella niiden olevan yhteydessä.
K-Trumpler efekti taas johtuu tähtienvälisen pölystä ja on tunnettu jo pitkään. Ilmiö ei koske niinkään nuoria tähtiä vaan yleensä kirkkaita tähtiä (jotka ovat samalla lyhytikäsisiä).
Punasiirtymällä vain suuntaa antava merkitys..
se voi vääristyä pahasti voimakentissä,,
Joten sen laskentan perustanakäyttäminen on trollia.
