Chapter Extra* TORNADO DAMAGE PATHS REVIEWED The states of Alabama, Maryland and Virginia published the tornado damage path information on internet. This information is reviewed shortly below. A. Length of the Damage Path In the states of Alabama, Maryland and Virginia the length of the tornado damage path was recorded1 and published on internet. The analyse of path length therefore included observations from those three states2. Altogether there was 424 observations available with the information of the length of the damage path. 272 of these were accepted by the criteria3 and analysed. A2. Damage Path Length Reviewed In this study length of the damage paths varied from 0.015 miles to 135 miles long. 5% of the tornadoes in this study had a damage path less than 0,2 miles. 25% of the tornadoes in this study had a damage path less than a mile. 75% of the cases had damage paths over a mile length. TABLE 1.## DISTRIBUTION OF THE LENGTH OF THE DAMAGE PATHS damage path in this study < 0,2 miles 5% 0,2 -1 miles 20% 1-5 miles 33% 5-10 miles 15% 10-20 miles 15% 20-50 miles 9% 50-100 miles 2% > 100 miles 1% A2B. Path length, preliminary review in sections The path length was analysed by 12-section procedure4. Below the meaningful deviations enough are reported. Statistical validation is not made to this preliminary overview. 4=refer Protocol of Documentation To gurantee sufficient amount of observations the length of the damage path was split on three different groups: a) path length less than a mile 25% of the observations b) path length 1-5 miles 33% of the observations c) path length 5-20 miles 30% of the observations The results are documented according to protocol of this study2 2= Please refer ”Protocol of the study” Da) damage path less than a mile Da1) 6-GAUGE (Moon) was observed 2,16 times above average in the 12th section (corresponding sign Pisces). Da2) 8-GAUGE (Mercury) was observed 2,26 times above average in a section 4 (corresponding sign Cancer) 1,79 times above average in section 7 (corresponding sign Cancer). a3) 9-GAUGE (Venus) was observed 2,14 times above average in section 1 (corresponding sign Aries) which on the other hand is already parallel to the known tornado behaviour according to this study. Instead, 9-GAUGE (Venus) was observed 2,14 times above average from sector 6 (corresponding sign Virgo) which is deviant to the basic frequencies of tornado characteristic discovered in this study. a4) 10-GAUGE (Mars) was not found at all from section 10 (corresponding sign Capricorn) a5) 2-GAUGE (PF) was observed 0,42 times below the average from section 4 ( corresponding sign Cancer). Db) damage path 1-5 miles b1) 8-GAUGE (Mercury) was observed 1,74 times above average from section 3 (corresponding sign Gemini) b2) 10-GAUGE (Mars) was observed 0,42 times below the average from section 1 (corresponding sign Aries). b3) 1-GAUGE (Vertex) was observed 1,77 times above average in section 7 (corresponding sign Libra). b4) 4-GAUGE (Nadir) was observed 1,53 times above average in section 4 (corresponding sign Cancer) b5) 5-GAUGE (8th cusp) was observed 1,61 times above average from the section 11 (contemporary to Sign Aquarius) and 1,33 times above average from the section 9 (corresponding sign Sagittarius). b6) 11-GAUGE (Lilith) was observed 1,82 times above average from the section 6 (corresponding sign Virgo) Dc) damage path 5-20 miles c1) 6-GAUGE (Moon) was observed 1,87 times above average in the 6th section (corresponding sign Virgo). c2) 8-GAUGE (Mercury) was observed 2,36 times above average in the 12th section (corresponding sign Pisces). c3) 10-GAUGE (Mars) was observed 1,96 times above average in the 12th section (corresponding sign Pisces) c4) 2-GAUGE (PF) was observed 1,95 times above average in the section 1 (corresponding sign Aries). --- 1=To the users of Macintoh Database by computers please refer Appendix ”Data Base coding” 2=Please refer ”Background variables; Table 3= please see B. Width to the Damage Path In the States of the Maryland and Virginia the information regarding tornado«s damage path«s width was also available. Damage path«s width could be fed into a database in this study 171 times. Therefore it is not analysed in subgroups3. CB. Damage Path Width reviewed To give a perspective to a common man of tornado characteristics below the distribution of the path width is presented.
