the extrat collected in each sump in continuously pumped to the top of the bed at upsyream location (with respect to solid feed) so that it drains back into the same sump. complete bed drainage must be achieved before it moves over the next sump yo prevent backmixing and loss of extractor performance. extract overflows from sump to sump countercurrently with respect to the solid flow and is discharged at the solids feed end. to reduce the amount of fines in the discharged extract, this can be taken from the second rather than from the first sump. the extract from the first sump is filtered though the bed by spraying it so that the clarified extract drains into the second sump. this essentially wates one stage but simplifies downstream prosessing considerably.

Meneepä liikaa yli nuo lyöntivirheet: jos et kerta vaivaudu edes isoa alkukirjainta virkkeen alkuun näppäilemään, niin eipä innosta ainakaan minua yrittämäänkään tuota suomentaa...
Minulla on lukihäiriö, josta johtuu myös kirjoitusvirheet (sanon usein lyöntivirheet, koska en jaksa kaikille aina olla selittämässä jne.). Nykyaikana kun tuntuu nettikeskustelut olevan jo aikalailla pienellä alkukirjaimella, joten ei...
