Itä-Anglian yliopiston tutkijat eivät ole vääristelleet tutkimustuloksiaan ilmastonmuutoksesta. Asiaa selvittänyt raportti moittii kuitenkin tutkijaryhmää avoimuuden puutteesta. Epäilyt vääristetyistä tuloksista heräsivät, kun internetissä julkaistiin tutkijoiden yksityisiä sähköpostiviestejä.
Ilmastonmuutoksen epäilijät tunkeutuivat viime marraskuussa brittiläisen Itä-Anglian yliopiston ilmastontutkimusyksikön sähköpostijärjestelmään ja julkaisivat nettisivuillaan tuhansia tutkijoiden sähköpostiviestejä. Ilmastoskeptikoiden mukaan viestit asettavat ilmastonmuutosteorian tieteellisen perustan kyseenalaiseksi.
Keskiviikkona julkaistu raportti on jo kolmas, joka jupakan selvittämiseksi on tehty. Myös kaksi aikaisempaa raporttia ovat antaneet tutkijaryhmälle puhtaat paperit.
Selvitystyö tehtiin Glasgown yliopiston entisen rehtorin Muir Russellin johdolla.

mikään noista tutkimuksista tai yleensä mikään ns. tieteellinen artikkeli ei peruste sen vertaa tieteeseeen kuten ei sinunkaan vastauksesi. Kaikki perustuu laskelmiin olettaen että kulutuamme ja niistä muodostuu jotain määriä. Mutta samalla unohdetaan luonnolliset ilmiöt kuten tulivuorten purkaukset yms. Niidenkin mittaukset perustuvat laskelmiin ja olettamuksiin. Viimeisin suuri purkaus Islannissa on oiva esimerkki kuinka tiede ei voimnut mitään. Koska kukaan ei päässyt lentämään. Islannisssa saati Euroopassa ei mitattu hiilidioksidin määrien nousua purkauksen takia. Miksi? EI voitu, eikä kyetty, kun meillä ei ole tekniikkaa siiheen. Joo
kyllä teorioita on mutta kun nyt oli mahdollisuus niin kukaan tiedemies ei ollut sen vertaan kiinnostunut että olisi perustanut labraa tai kunnolista mittauslaitosta ja hehkuttanut sitä kuinka tässä nyt tutkitaan tulivuoren purkauksen aiheuttamia kemiallisia ja fysikaalisia ilmiöitä ilmakehään.
Tälläinen asia olisi ollut erittäin tärkeä siis erittäi tärkeä jotta uskottavuus olis säilytetty meidän maallkioiden silmissä. Jos tälläinen tapahtuma ohitetaan olan kohautuksella ja lentoliikenteeen keskeytymisellä voin vain kuvitella minkäläisiä ihmisiä tiedemiehet ovat, tollojako mahdollisesti?
Raha ei olisi ollut este. Minullakin on varaa ostaa mittareita Vaisalalta ja asentaa niitä kotiin miksi siis ei tiedemieihillä, varsinkin niillä jotka siitä puhuvat?
